Historical Timeline
1947
A business partnership led to the way of the creation of a trading company called Howard & Husain. Core business at that time was the import and sale of fabric.
Mid 1950s
Dissolution of the partnership changed the company into Husain & Husain.
1960s
Husain & Husain partnership ended and sole proprietership by the name of M. K. Husain was introduced. Started trade of Chinese textile machinery in the Pakistani market for the first time thus becoming pioneers in this field.
1962
Husain Weavin Industries (Pvt.) Ltd. was started as a sister weaving concern of MKHCO. The status of this weaving wing of the company was later converted to that of a trading company.
1974
The company was converted into a limited liabilities company called M. K. Husain & Co. (Pvt.) Limited. Business increased to sale of fabric, machinery, individual parts and accessories.
1989
Apparel wing (of MKHCO) called Husain Apparel was started for production of readymade garments.
1989
Apparel wing (of MKHCO) called Husain Apparel was started for production of readymade garments.
1999
M. K. Husain & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd. acquired complete sales and distribution of plastic ring and simplex bobbins for 10 years from Pegasus Textile Accessories Manufacturing Company (an offshore company of China Textile Machinery Corporation).
2003
Brand PLASTMA was created for PPRC pipes and fittings for residential and commercial clean water system in Pakistan.
2012
M.K. Husain & Co. (Pvt.) Ltd. started its Yarn Merchandising Department for Export
2018
Establishment of an Association of Partnership (AOP) called MEGALODON was created to solely focus on maritime import of goods and services.
2020
Brand TYTO was created to cater to SMART and alternative energy products to be sourced from PRC and around the world.
2025
Brand KHAAM was created to produce luxury and ultra limited wooden products like furniture, lighting and functional decoratives and subsequent in-house production facility was also setup in Karachi.
2026
Brand PLASTMA vision expansion: It was decided that the supply of building and sanitary materials was a limiting approach towards the brand and so it should be positions as a systems layout and design provider which deals in products as well as services.
